About Dr. Zena Vevaina, LMFT | Virtual Therapist in California, Oregon & Connecticut
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 10 years of experience helping individuals and couples do the kind of deep, meaningful work that creates lasting change.
My path into therapy was shaped by a genuine fascination with relationships — how we connect, how we hurt each other, and how we heal. Over the years I've developed a specialty in high-conflict relationships and trauma recovery, working with people who feel stuck in cycles they desperately want to break but can't seem to escape on their own.
I believe therapy should be more than just a place to vent. My approach is direct and engaged — I work with you, not just for you. I'll help you understand the patterns driving your experience, not just the symptoms showing up on the surface.
Hi, I'm Zena.
My Approach
I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based therapy, and trauma-informed care. These approaches help us get underneath the surface — to the fears, needs, and emotional experiences that are actually driving the conflict, the shutdown, or the stuck feeling.
I provide culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming care, and I'm committed to creating a space where you feel genuinely safe to do this work.
